In 10th century Russia, Christian monks used religious iconographic art to visually teach the mysteries of the Holy Trinity to the country's people. Icons were stunning works, which combined painting and a variety of shiny metals. Today, 1,000 years later we are still inspired by this merging of the metallic to produce beauty.
